Fr Emmanuel Aguiyi

Fr Emmanuel Aguiyi

Parish Priest

Our Parish Priest, Very Rev Fr Emmanuel Aguiyi was ordained in 1998 in Nigeria, where he worked for eleven years before arriving in Australia in 2009.  He became the Administrator of St Luke’s Parish, Capalaba and St Anthony’s Parish, Alexandra Hills in 2010.  With the merger of the two parishes in January, 2012, he became the Parish Priest of St Anthony and St Luke’s Parish, Alexandra Hills and Capalaba.

Fr Emmanuel has a bachelor’s degree in Philosophy and another bachelor’s degree in Theology.  He also has a Postgraduate Diploma in Education and a Master’s degree in Systematic Theology.

Fr Emmanuel is the Dean of Redland/Bayside Deanery and also a formator at the Holy Spirit Seminary, Banyo.

Deacon Ray Pardo


Deacon Ray was ordained a deacon in November 2006.  He joined the Parish of St Anthony and St Luke’s in January 2014 after working in a number of parishes in the Archdiocese.  He ably assists Fr Emmanuel in various ministries in the parish.

Deacon Ray has a Postgraduate Diploma in Theology. He is married with two grown up children.

Margaret McFerran

Pastoral Ministry Co-ordinator

Margaret McFerran has been our Parish Pastoral Ministry Co-ordinator for a number of years.  Margaret has enjoyed a long association with both St Anthony’s and St Luke’s and was one of the founding Parishioner’s of St Luke’s Capalaba. She is also a qualified Justice of the Peace, Marriage Celebrant and Hospital Chaplain, and is often seen visiting the sick at the Redlands Hospital. Margaret works closely with Fr Emmanuel to oversee our parish Sacramental Programmes, RCIA Programmes and other pastoral aspects of our parish.




Amanda Mase

Parish Office Administrator

Amanda Mase is our Parish Office Administrator.  Having resided in the Redlands for a number of years, Amanda has enjoyed a long association with St Luke’s, Capalaba, both as a parishioner and ‘school mum’.  Amanda has an Advanced Diploma of Business and a Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing.  She has also undertaken roles for the Bread Ministry and currently serves on the Padua Place Committee.
