Fr Emmanuel Ayakundy
Parish priest

Our Parish Priest, Rev Fr Emmanuel Ayankudy joined the Order of Carmelites of Mary Immaculate in 1987. He was ordained as a priest on 27th December 2000 in India.

Prior to arriving in Australia, Fr Emmanuel served as Associate Pastor, Director of Formation, Formator, Minor Seminary Rector, Secretary of the Education Society and counsellor to the provincial. He also worked for three years in the National Seminary in Windhoek, Namibia, Africa for three years.

Fr Emmanuel arrived in Australia on 1st November 2017, and was appointed as the associate pastor at the Maroochydore parish on 4th January 2018. He became the Parish Priest of St Anthony and St Luke’s Parish, Alexandra Hills and Capalaba on 24th November 2018.

Fr Emmanuel has Masters degrees Philosophy and Theology; He also completed a Pre Doctoral Programme in Systematic Theology.

Trish Stapleton
Pastoral Associate

Trish is married to Larry and they have lived in Alexandra Hills and Capalaba since 1992. They have four adult daughters and ten grandchildren. They have both been active parishioners in both St Anthony’s and St Luke’s parishes prior to amalgamation.

Trish has a background in teaching, both primary and secondary, specialising in religious education and music. She was APRE at St Luke’s prior to being offered a position in forming and training Parish Sacramental and Adult Faith Education Teams. From there, Trish became Lay Pastoral Minister at Upper Mt Gravatt Wishart Parish for over 10 years while contributing to the Lay Pastoral Ministers Association, and assisting Liturgy Brisbane in presenting workshops to parishes. She is also a member of the Australian Pastoral Musicians Network. Trish is passionate about music, Liturgy and forming, informing and transforming people to become disciples of Christ, living out their Baptismal call in everyday life.

Trish has a Masters in Religious Education and a Masters in Ministry.
