Reconciliation is a sacrament of repentance and peace-making in a very positive sense. Its healing process contributes to our spiritual growth as human persons and our ability to love. In order to be reconciled with others and with God, we must first learn to forgive ourselves, to accept who we are with our gifts and failings, and to be willing to become better people.
The Sacrament of Penance through a rite of Reconciliation leads us to understand and appreciate the gifts of God’s forgiving love. Through the Rite of Reconciliation, we admit sin or wrongdoing; say we are sorry; seek forgiveness and work at making up. Reconciliation is usually celebrated in grade 5.
Reconciliation is held from 4.00pm – 4.15pm every Saturday at St Anthony’s Church.
